The Rosario Central Stadium is in the North of Rosario, it is located between Génova Avenue, Cordiviola Street, Avellaneda Boulevard, and the river walk. It´s a big, elegant and beatiful stadium. It is surrounded by the Alem Park, the Portal Rosario Shopping Mall, and the Parana River, which make for beautiful sightseeing and it is one of the most beautiful areas I nthe city, especially in the Summer.

The stadium has been used not only for soccer, the Argentine rugby team, played a test match against Scotland, and it has been used for important concerts. Internationally acclaimed singers and bands such as Queen, Sting, Alejandro Sanz, Luis Miguel, Ricky Martin, Maná, and many others have performed in this Stadium.

Rosario Central Club was founded 24th December, 1889. It is one of the oldest clubs in existence in the country in this sport among those who participate in tournaments of the Argentine Football Association. Its identifying colors are blue and yellow, and they were designed for badges and sports jackets. The Club started its activity in soccer in 1905.

Since 1939, it has participated in the national tournaments of the Argentine Football Association, which was four times champion of the first division. It is the Argentine team, outside Buenos Aires, with the most national titles, nine in total, 5 in the amateur league, and 4 in the professional league.

At an international level, it won the CONMEBOL Cup once and reached the finals of the same event at another time. This achievement makes it the only team in the Province of Santa Fe to have won an international title at an event officially organized by the South American Football Confederation.

The size of the field is 105 x 70 meters, and after much remodeling, it can hold 41.6541 viewers at present, making it the biggest in Rosario and the third largest in Argentina. Both the World Cup 1978 and the America Cup 1987 were based here.
